Why Everyone Books Again Before Leaving
You will think you are being impulsive. You are not. Here is why every couple we know has booked their return trip before checking out.

They are both adults-only, all-inclusive, and in Mexico. But they could not be more different. Here is how to choose.
Desire and Temptation are both operated by the Original Group. They share a booking system, a loyalty programme, and a commitment to adults-only hospitality. Beyond that, they have almost nothing in common. Choosing between them is not about quality; both are excellent. It is about what kind of holiday you want.
Desire: Intimate, sensual, couples-only. Think candlelit dinners, sunset hot tubs, and conversations that go deeper than usual. The energy is warm but not loud. Clothing-optional areas mean the comfort level is high and the self-consciousness is low. The average age skews older (35-60) and the vibe is sophisticated.
Temptation: Electric, social, party-forward. Think pool DJs, foam cannons, and dancing until 3am. The energy is high and the crowd is young (25-45). Topless-optional rather than clothing-optional. Singles and groups are welcome alongside couples. It is aspirational hedonism with a nightclub sensibility.
Desire: Smaller rooms but beautifully appointed. The suites at both Riviera Maya and Pearl are genuinely luxurious. The Pearl Mansion VIP experience is in a league of its own: butler service, private beach section, exclusive lounge.
Temptation: Designer rooms by Karim Rashid that photograph spectacularly. Modern, bold, Instagram-ready. The Seduction Oceanfront Suites are the standout category with in-room jacuzzis and beachfront views. More rooms overall means more variety in category and price.
Desire: Four restaurants at Riviera Maya, three at Pearl. Smaller venues, more focused menus, higher consistency. Suki (Asian fusion) is genuinely outstanding.
Temptation: Seven restaurants plus poolside dining. Wider variety, larger portions, more casual atmosphere. Flame (steakhouse) and Atomic (sushi and ceviche) are the highlights.
Desire: Full clothing-optional. The Eden at Riviera Maya is the centrepiece: a separate area with its own pool, hot tub, and bar where clothes are entirely optional. This is not performative; it is genuinely liberating.
Temptation: Topless-optional at the Sexy Pool. The rest of the resort is standard swimwear. For many couples, this is the perfect comfort level, a taste of freedom without the full commitment.
First-time couples who are curious but cautious: Temptation. Couples who know they want the full experience: Desire Riviera Maya. Returning Desire guests who want the premium tier: Desire Pearl. There is no wrong answer and many couples try all three over successive trips.
The Desire resorts are adjacent and guests can visit either property. Temptation is 45 minutes north in Cancun, so visiting both in one trip requires separate bookings and a taxi transfer. It is doable but most people choose one per trip.
If we could only ever go to one: Desire Riviera Maya. The intimacy, the Eden, the food quality, and the community are unmatched. But Temptation holds a special place for its sheer joy and energy. They serve different moods and both serve them brilliantly.
