Desire vs Temptation: Which Resort Is Right for You?
They are both adults-only, all-inclusive, and in Mexico. But they could not be more different. Here is how to choose.

You will think you are being impulsive. You are not. Here is why every couple we know has booked their return trip before checking out.
Sometime around day four, something shifts. You stop checking your phone. You stop thinking about work. You look at your partner across the pool and think: we need to do this again. By day five, you are at the front desk asking about next year. You are not being impulsive. You are being rational.
Both Desire and Temptation offer returning guest rates and early booking discounts. Booking at the resort locks in the best available price and often includes room upgrades or resort credits. The financial case is genuinely strong; rates increase throughout the year and the most popular weeks sell out months in advance.
These resorts have some of the highest repeat booking rates in the hospitality industry. It is not because the pools are bigger or the food is better than other all-inclusive resorts (though both are true). It is because the experience creates something you cannot replicate elsewhere. The freedom, the connection with your partner, the absence of judgement; you simply do not find that at a regular resort.
Everything relaxes. The first-trip anxiety is gone entirely. You know the layout, you know the restaurants, you know which sun lounger to claim at 10am. This means you spend less time figuring things out and more time actually enjoying yourself. The second trip is almost always better than the first.
By your second or third visit, you start recognising other returning couples. A nod at the pool, a drink at the bar, genuine friendships forming. The Desire community in particular is warm and welcoming. People exchange details, coordinate their booking dates, and meet up year after year. It becomes a reunion as much as a holiday.
If you are on the fence about rebooking before checkout, do it. The worst that happens is you cancel later and lose nothing (most resorts offer flexible cancellation windows). The best that happens is you secure your preferred dates and room category before they sell out. We have never met anyone who regretted booking again. We have met plenty who regretted not doing it.
