Our Story

The honest version

We are a couple from the UK who stumbled across Desire Riviera Maya while searching for something different for our anniversary. We almost did not book. The website looked incredible but the concept felt intimidating: clothing-optional, couples-only, sensual atmosphere. We must have read every forum thread and review on the internet before we finally clicked “reserve.”

That first trip changed everything. Not because it was wild or scandalous, but because it was the most relaxed, liberating holiday we had ever taken. The food was exceptional. The people were warm and welcoming. The anxiety we had built up in our heads evaporated within the first hour. We came home and immediately booked our next visit.

We have now visited Desire Riviera Maya, Desire Pearl, and Temptation Cancun multiple times. We have tried every restaurant, survived every theme night, and have strong opinions about which pool chair to claim before breakfast. This site is the result of all of that.

Why we built this site

Before our first trip, we could not find a single place that gave us the full picture. The resort websites were beautiful but deliberately vague. The forums were helpful but scattered across dozens of threads full of outdated information and conflicting opinions. There was nothing in between: no honest, well-organised guide written by people who actually go.

So we built one. Naked Escapes is the site we wish we had found before we booked. It is written for couples who are curious, cautious, or ready to go but want to know exactly what they are getting into.

What we actually do

Our content is organised around three stages of your trip. Before covers everything from packing lists to first-timer nerves, the stuff you really want to know but feel awkward asking. During is our resort intelligence: restaurant rankings, theme night breakdowns, pool chair strategy. After is about making the most of what comes next: rebooking before you leave, comparing resorts, and extending your trip with a cruise.

Every article is written from personal experience. We do not publish press releases and we do not write about places we have not been.
